Giving evidence in care proceedings

12 February 2019

Former lecturer Sarah Duxbury and Kate Miller, both of the chambers family team, lead an in-house training seminar for social workers in what lawyers and judges expect of them when giving evidence in court proceedings involving children.

On Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th February 2019, and at the request of Southend Borough Council, Sarah and Kate expect to be training approximately thirty of its social workers in how best to prepare their evidence, put their case across in court and deal with cross-examination. It is planned to run an additional course for those unable to attend at a future date.

If you would be interested in East Anglian Chambers running a similar course tailored for you then please contact Sarah Duxbury, Kate Miller or team leader Mike Sheehan to discuss your request in detail.
