Claire specialises in complex family cases with a focus on Children Act cases. She accepts instructions in both private and public law matters. She joins Chambers on 1st August 2018 and will accept instructions to be commenced on or after that date.
Claire has recently transferred back to the Bar after some years practising as a solicitor, when she was a partner in a firm in South East Essex and the head and supervisor of the family department. Claire was an accredited member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and also a member of Resolution, Grandparents Association and the Association of Lawyers for Children.
Claire has dealt with complex cases involving non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, domestic violence and parental alienation.
Claire’s time as a solicitor has given her experience in working from start to finish with a wide range of clients including professional guardians, adults with learning difficulties, psychiatric or psychological difficulties and children.
