Nick's practice covers the whole range of family work together with a growing amount of work in both welfare and financial matters in the Court of Protection.

An element of international work has been part of Nick's practice for a number of years:
  •  Hague convention return
  •  return & removal to non Hague countries (both permanent & temporary)
  •  removal by Government when sexual misdemeanours became apparent
  •  international child support & enforcement
Nick has experience in the Family Division of the High Court and has had a number of cases before the Court of Appeals

 
Cases:
  •  Court of Protection case (MASM v MMAM & ors [2015] EWCOP 3) establishing the    non-enforceability by committal of declaratory orders
  •  Court of Protection welfare case involving autism spectrum disorders
  •  contact case involving sexual abuse of a minor over many years
  •  contact case involving grooming for sexual purposes of child
  •  removal of parental responsibility
  •  return of retained child, including an award of costs
  •  sibling disputes before Court of Protection
  •  farming Financial Order cases
  •  substance abuse and mental health in public law and private law cases
  •  wardship
Nick is one of EA Law - East Anglian Chambers members with a growing Direct Access practice and he will work at any time or place to suit the client; including differing time zones.

 
Interests:
Away from Chambers Nicks interests centre on travel and walking in the countryside of the United Kingdom.
