Miss Katharine Bundell MA (Cantab)

Katharine Bundell read law at Christ's Cambridge and went on to be a Middle Temple Harmsworth Scholar and Exhibitioner. She is a member of our Family and Civil Specialist Teams.

She specialises in family in no particular order:

  • all aspects of ancillary relief including jurisdictional questions and farming cases;
  • all private law child  work;
  • public law care work, secure orders, placement and care orders; freeing orders (until the end of the year!) and adoption for local authorities , parents, guardians ad litem and the official solicitor.

She has experience of cases involving: twin tracking; child murder; physical abuse; sexual abuse; re L rape cases; paedophilia ; incest; and shaken baby syndrome (including the Geddes research) and has good experience of High Court and Court of Appeal matters.

Katharine specialises in Trusts of Land cases only now although in the past she had a far wider civil practice and spent her formative years at the bar in Middle temple specialising in Insolvency and Real Property work.

Katharine has been a registered pupil supervisor since 2000 and is responsible for a number of members of Chambers. She is now a pupil grandmother.

She is a Trustee of the Norfolk Family Mediation Service and a member of the Family Law Bar Association and Norfolk Medico-Legal Society. She judges moots at UEA and lectures once or twice a year.

Katharine’s personal interests centre on music and she sings all around East Anglia. She has three children of her own and a corporate solicitor to look after.
