Alan Wheetman is a criminal law practitioner who has worked in the Criminal Justice System since 1975 both in the public and private sector. In 1995 he was called to the Bar and joined Chambers shortly thereafter. Since that time he has worked for both the prosecution and defence and is happy to accept instructions for cases in the Magistrates and Crown Courts.

He has a broad understanding of computers and the internet and has regularly appeared in Court defending cases of making indecent pictures of children resulting from Operation Ore. in addition he has defended in cases of a serious sexual nature, firearms and other violent crimes.

Alan has a reputation as a no-nonsense, down to earth, plain speaking advocate who does not skirt around the issues. As well as his work at the Bar, Alan is also qualified as a Consultant in Advanced Hypnotherapy. As such, he is often instructed to represent nervous or difficult clients where mental illness is an issue.

When he is not working Alan unwinds by combining his interests in photography, videography and scuba diving by capturing underwater life on film and digital at some of the worlds best diving sites. Closer to home, he shares a passion for riding with his wife and helps look after their three horses.
