Micaila Williams

Micaila Williams read law at the University of Essex and was called to the Bar at Inner Temple in July 2004. Having completed her pupillage at Trinity Chambers she joined East Anglian Chambers as a tenant in May 2007.

Micaila predominantly specialises in all forms of Criminal Law, having defended and prosecuted a variety of offences in the Youth Court, Magistrates Court and the Crown Court ranging from simple thefts to robbery, arson to affray and many other offences including ABH and GBH, driving offences, offensive weapons and increasingly serious drugs offences.

Micaila is regularly instructed by the Crown Prosecution Service, Department of Work and Pensions, Essex and Suffolk County Council and the RSPCA to undertake a range of Prosecutions. Aside from criminal law Micaila has successfully turned her hand to Employment Law, Civil Anti-Social Behaviour Act Applications (in a variety of forms) and Family Law. She has also been instructed to deal with a range of civil hearings including Possession Hearings, Charging Orders, Licensing Applications, Bankruptcy Disputes and Small Claims Hearings.

Micaila is well known for her ability to relate to her clients (Solicitors and lay clients alike) without compromising her professionalism. 

She lives in Braintree with her husband Paul and together they like to spend time with their family, attend the theatre and socialise with friends.
