With effect from 6th April 2010 GPs will be required to use new 'fit notes' for patients which will include the words 'you may be fit for work taking account of the following advice' and make recommendations to assist a return to work.

The Damages Based Agreements Regulations 2010 have been published in their final form. Much to relief of claimant solicitors, contingency fee agreements in Employment Tribunal claims have not only survived, but the cap which was provisionally recommended at 25% has been increased to 35% (inclusive of VAT).
