Harriet Voelcker BA (Soton)
After gaining a First in Philosophy from Southampton University Harriet followed a career first in IT and then in Industry Development (in which she conducted high level industry negotiations in a large utilities firm). She was called to the Bar in 2003, having been a Gray’s Inn Bedingfield Scholar and winning the Sir Raymond Phillips and the Stuart Cunningham Makaskie Awards.
Harriet specialises in Family Law, representing Local Authorities, children and parents in Public Law proceedings. She also has a full range of experience in Private Law including contact, residence, removal from the jurisdiction and specific issue disputes, as well as applications for injunctive relief and ancillary relief. She has experience in all levels of courts, up to and including the Court of Appeal.
Harriet’s people skills help her support and guide her lay clients through the difficult processes that surround court proceedings and assist in achieving the best possible outcomes for children.
