Michael Sheehan LL B (Warwick)

Mike practised as a solicitor in Essex and Suffolk for over 25 years before being called to the Bar in 2010 when he became a full member of East Anglian Chambers, rapidly establishing a busy practice.  As a solicitor he handled a large and varied caseload and undertook a great deal of advocacy. In 2007 he was granted Higher Rights of Audience by the Solicitors' Regulation Authority. He was a member of the Children Panel for over 20 years.

Mike’s years of experience as a solicitor equip him with a valuable insight into the challenges and pressures they face which he is able to utilise for the benefit of solicitors and their clients. Mike is happy to advise in writing and in conference at any one of our four locations or at solicitor’s offices.

He has been a member of the Solicitors' Personal Injury Panel and holds the Advanced Certificate in Employment from the University of East Anglia as well as the Certificate in European Law from the University of Essex.

He has extensive experience of complex public and private law Children Act work. He appears on behalf of local authorities, parents, children and other parties to public law matters and all parties in private law cases as well as advising in ancillary relief matters and other aspects of family law.
