Care and Supervision Orders
Our family law team act for all parties including parents, children or the Local Authorities themselves, as well as others, such as grandparents, who can become involved when Local Authorities (Social Services) apply for Care or Supervision Orders.
EA Law - East Anglian Chambers family law barristers attend at PLO meetings and urgent applications such as emergency Protection Orders, at interim hearings, and at all stages through to final hearing and appeals. The family law team has extensive experience in public law matters including cases involving; allegations of non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, neglect, drug and alcohol addiction as well as cases involving the official solicitor, where capacity is an issue.
We can represent clients at all stages, including pre-proceedings, up to and including appeal. We like to work closely with solicitors who are welcome to contact us at any stage of proceedings. We can advise and represent you in connection with applications for contact with children in care and in applications to discharge Care Orders.
We are also experienced in dealing with applications made by Social Services for Placement Orders and can advise and represent in subsequent adoption proceedings.
We recognise the importance to clients in being represented by the same advocate throughout this often long and difficult process. Our clerks work hard to ensure that this can be possible.
