The Crime team offers a wealth of expertise along the full spectrum of criminal offences, and appear in all courts from the magistrates’ court to the Court of Appeal, including courts martial. Such work includes specialist counsel acting in proceedings involving local authorities, regulatory offences and licensing (most frequently alcohol licensing and taxi licensing).
Members of the team both prosecute and defend; they are well rounded advocates, able to see a case from both sides, and use that knowledge to their client’s advantage. This extends to work in confiscation proceedings within the criminal arena with experience in the developing jurisprudence of asset freezing orders. The teams expertise stretchs much in freezing/confiscation proceedings including domestic and worldwide freezing orders in the County Court and High Court.
